Privacy notice
This notice explains what Yoi Bio does with the personal data you give us on yoibio.com, and the choices and rights you have. We have kept it short and in plain English.
Who we are
Yoi Bio is a UK health technology brand currently in development. Yoi Bio is the data controller for the personal data collected through yoibio.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist. This is the only information the form asks for.
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider records this in standard server logs to keep the site secure and running.
yoibio.com does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- Launch news and early access. We use your email address to tell you when Yoi Bio launches and to offer early access. We do this with your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.
- Keeping the site secure. Server logs are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse and fixing problems.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for any other purpose.
Who we share it with
- Netlify, Inc. hosts yoibio.com and stores waitlist submissions on our behalf. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers are covered by Netlify's data processing agreement, which includes the safeguards required under UK data protection law.
- If we use a specialist email service to send launch news, we will name it in this notice before the first email goes out.
We may also share data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, or until the waitlist closes after launch, whichever comes first, and we delete it within 30 days of that. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its retention policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- have it corrected if it is wrong
- have it deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive it in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and we will change the date at the top when we do.
